With a bit of naïveté, we thought we could pull it off: a three-and-a-half-minute stop motion music video Delta Q's Ode an die Freude, shot in just one day, despite having little to no prior experience in animation. In the end, it took six very long days, the support of many dear friends, and a fair share of mistakes to discover the tricks and the magic of stop motion. Five different musical interpretations of Beethoven's masterpiece inspired five key colors and five imagined miniature worlds. The final result is an Ode to Joy: cheerful, bold, funny, and bursting with details that call for a second (or third) watch.
